Domestic Discipline and Taken in hand

I have often wondered what, if any are the differences between Domestic Discipline and Taken in hand and to be honest I have not as yet come up with a conclusion! I am first going to define the two, There are many definitions out there but this is mine. Firstly Domestic Discipline-

Domestic Discipline is a loving relationship build on trust and respect. The HoH (Head of Household) has the responsibility to enforce rules and guidelines to which his partner fully consents to. His partner also consents to punishments being used as the HoH see's fit. It is not BDSM and is not seen by either party as sexual.

Taken in Hand (sometimes abbreviated as TiH) is a  term that refers to a style of monogamous, heterosexual relationship which is male-led. The female submits, with total consent to her male partner's decisions in matters of everyday life.

Now, i have read many articles on both and as i said i am unable to come up with any differences between the two. The only difference that i could see is that punishment is not used as much in a taken in hand relationship. I have come to the conclusion that the only small difference is that taken in hand is basically a male led relationship without DD.........CONFUSED? I am! If anyone out there can shed any light on the two and there possible differences please comment below so i can sleep at night!!! ( only kidding!)

As i said i think the two are more or less the same but would love to hear other peoples take on it! Look forward to reading your comments!

  1. I have wondered that same thing but, we just sort of have just been doing our own thing and lump it under the category of ttwd for now.

Honestly, I don't think it should be defined or forced into a specific label.
Whatever works for each relationship is the way to go. :)
